Technological soldiers. Perfect obedience in place of mutation. They were built to preserve humanity... but their methods redefined what “human” meant. Over decades, the Augmentum evolved from saviors to overseers. Sanctuary One became their citadel, a fortress of steel and silence, claiming to protect the world from the chaos outside. Yet within its walls, it’s not protection that thrives—it’s control. Children are studied like lab samples. Originalis are “rehabilitated” or erased. Even their own operatives, Resolver, Clipper, Combatant, question the morality buried beneath their mission.

But the world is on the edge of anarchy. What over solution exists to contain the 'Dawn of Homo Originalis'? Guided by Athena Tau, their sentient AI, the Augmentum believes itself the last rational force left in a crumbling civilization. But beneath the precision and protocol lies something colder: fear. Fear of losing dominance. Fear that the future no longer belongs to them. They justify atrocities in the language of order. They call extermination “containment,” and indoctrination “preservation.” Yet, through Ember’s leadership and the conscience of a few, glimpses of redemption remain—a chance to evolve beyond the machinery of obedience.

The Augmentum’s aim is survival. Their ambition, control. Their alignment... fractured. Once humanity’s shield, now its shadow, they stand on the edge of moral extinction, protecting a world they no longer understand.
